A billboard apologizing to gay people in North Carolina has popped up in Charlotte, North Carolina less than a month after the state voted for a constitutional ban on same-sex marriage.
A California church set up the sign, which reads:“Missiongathering Christian Church is sorry for the narrow-minded, judgmental, deceptive, manipulative actions of those who denied rights and equality to so many in the name of God.”
The message takes a jab at North Carolina for its May 8 vote in support of Amendment 1, which defines marriage as a union between a man and woman.
